History
The Texas Council was formed in 1969 and chartered in July 1975. The Council is a coalition of Institute of Management Accountant Chapters throughout Texas and Shreveport , Louisiana . In January 1984, the National Board of Directors passed a proposal to establish a National Committee on Councils, thus providing greater recognition to all Councils within the national organization. The primary objective of the council is to provide a venue for these Chapters to exchange ideas and pool resources for the betterment of each Chapter member. The council is responsible for the Chapter Leadership Training Sessions (LTS) and Chapter Management Seminars (CMS) held each spring for the incoming Chapter Officers and Directors of the member Chapters.
